Another year; another incredible TOKEN2049 Singapore event for Hedera!

It is always great to see so many projects and enthusiasts come together to discuss, collaborate on, and celebrate the world of web3 and the value it is bringing the emerging tokenized economy.

This year, welcomed a number of projects within our ecosystem to represent the network at our Builder Booth: a dedicated area showcasing some of the amazing work being done on the network alongside our team. Real-World Asset Summit 2024

Taking place the day before the first official day of TOKEN2049, the Hedera team was proud to attend and sponsor the RWA Summit - a premier gathering of leading voices and projects at the forefront of real-world asset tokenization sharing their insight on the state of tokenization today and what the future holds for real-world assets on-chain.

Notably, Sabrina Tachdijan - HBAR Foundation Head of Fintech & Payments - joined Cardano Founder Charles Hoskinson, InvestaX Co-Founder Alice Chen, Plume Network Co-Founder Teddy Pornprinya, and EY Blockchain Leader Paul Brody for a panel discussion on “The Rise of RWA Chains”.

Topics explored included discussions around the differences between tokenized assets and utility tokens, regulatory frameworks surrounding real-world assets, the importance of assets on-chain for the token economy, and decentralized markets focused on the still emerging asset class.

Hedera also had the pleasure of announcing - on the morning of the event - the launch of Asset Tokenization Studio: an open-source toolkit for the configuration, issuance, and management of tokenized bonds and equities on Hedera.

Karate Combat 49

Keeping consistent with their presence at TOKEN2049 in Dubai earlier this year, Karate Combat - the rapidly growing, revolutionary combat sports league built on Hedera - put on another incredible event for attendees and fans around the world, viewed more than 7M times on their X livestream at time of writing.

For those who may not know, Karate Combat has been and continues to be a key partner of Hedera, building their innovative Karate Combat application on the network which provides unique engagement opportunities for both fighters and fans - enabling them to participate in gamification experiences as well as community governance which allows them to have their say in how the league operates and the rules within the pit.

Asset Tokenization & Payments Meetup @ PALO IT

In collaboration with The HBAR Foundation and PALO IT, we welcomed TOKEN2049 attendees to join us for an evening of networking and presentations at the PALO IT offices - featuring a number of projects from the Hedera community sharing their insights on real-world asset tokenization.

RedSwan CRE Founder & CEO Ed Nwokedi started off the evening with a showcase of how RedSwan is tokenizing their ever-growing portfolio of institutional-grade real estate using the newly launched Asset Tokenization Studio and democratizing access to property investment.

Following this presentation, Ed joined fellow Hedera ecosystem partners - ioBuilders Founder & CEO Carlos Matilla Sanz, Blade Labs Founder & CEO Sami Mian, and Archax Co-Founder & CTO Andrew Flatt - for a panel discussion moderated by Paxum Founder Kyle Sonlin exploring the current state of tokenization and what both issuers and builders have learned along the way.

Chainlink x Sygnum x Hedera Meetup @ LeVeL33

On the final day, our first post-conference event hosted in collaboration with our partners Chainlink and Sygnum Bank saw attendees from TOKEN2049 join members from our ecosystem and beyond for a night of drinks, food, and networking - exploring RWA tokenization, decentralized finance, fintech, and more - featuring a talk from HBAR Foundation Head of Fintech & Payments Sabrina Tachdjian.

We'd like to thank everyone who joined us to learn more about Hedera, Chainlink, and Sygnum Bank and our joint efforts to further the decentralized revolution. We look forward to our continued partnership with both Chainlink and Sygnum Bank as we collaboratively drive global web3 adoption through real-world use cases.

Cryptorsy RWA Hustle Party

On the final day of the conference, Hedera joined tokenization platform Brickken, property tokenization and education platform RealtyX, and and SocialFi application friendo.cash in sponsoring the RWA Hustle TOKEN2049 Afterparty by Cryptorsy at the Abriza Rooftop Bar - connecting with a diverse group of web3 and blockchain enthusiasts to further spread the word of hashgraph.

Hashgraph Senior Product Marketing Manager Devin Saxon participated in a panel alongside fellow leading voices in web3 - Cryptorsy Founder Vlad Svitanko, Head of Growth Michael Graham, RealtyX Head of Partnerships Jade G., and Brickken CEO Edwin Mata - to explore the current landscape of RWAs, latest developments in the industry, emerging challenges, and future solutions.

Orbis86 x Hotcoin x Hedera: Web3 Networking Mixer

To close out our schedule of side events the day after TOKEN2049 concluded, Hedera - alongside Hotcoin, XDC Network, and Unstoppable Domains - sponsored and co-hosted Orbis86's Web3 Networking Mixer: "RWA Tokenization: The Next Frontier in Blockchain Adoption".

Hashgraph Developer Advocate Pathorn Tengkiattrakul joined XDC Network Head of Ventures and Ecosystem Building Sonny Mohanty, Unstoppable Domains COO Sandy Carter, and The Coin Republic Editor-in-Chief Veruni Trivendi for a panel discussion exploring what the road ahead looks like for real-world asset tokenization, how the Hedera network is being used to advance the space, our latest network developments, and more.
