Ever get tired of scrolling through unrelated videos or endless YouTube Shorts that don’t match the content you actually enjoy? Or maybe, like me, you find yourself getting sidetracked by Shorts when you're trying to find something specific. I know the struggle—it happens to me all the time.
That’s exactly why I created Detoxify, an extension designed to give you full control over your YouTube experience.
What is Detoxify?
Detoxify is a browser extension that allows you to hide or unhide YouTube Shorts from your home feed, search results, and other areas. Whether you’re looking to declutter your recommendations or focus only on the content that matters to you, Detoxify has you covered.
The extension works seamlessly on Chromium-based browsers (like Chrome, Edge) and Firefox, with support for Manifest V3 on Chrome for enhanced security.

Wow whole extension, I have 3 lines of custom CSS to do the same thing. I hate shorts. They are the worst thing that happen to social media, thanks to TikTok.
Yeah but this extension keep it in sync so you don't have to do it every time you visit the site! It will be hidden as long as you unhide it.
Same as my CSS snippet if you use extension that allow to manipulate CSS on different pages. Those extensions exist for ages. I don't need to apply anything.
Your choice, can't force you to use it.
