Hehe the intention was not to make you have to affirm that you do care 😜.

I don’t mind if people’s personal sites have issues, as long as somewhere on the massive list of things we all want to do on our personal sites accessibility is on the list. (And I hope this article pushes accessibility a little higher on the list πŸ˜„

I tend to point people to wuhcag.com/wcag-checklist/ as it makes WCAG a lot easier to follow / understand.

Then I would say a11yproject.com/checklist/ and a lot of the other resources on that site are good to get started with.

Then sadly it is difficult (hence why I have put together a content plan around accessibility) so it is a case of reading a load of blogs: digitala11y.com/accessibility-blogs/ has a list of loads of blogs to follow.

fantastic article, here in brazil there are accessibility laws, but even de government don't give a f*ck, which is incredibly frustrating, because my brother have visual disability and still strugle with screen readers output, always confusing or with a lot of missinformation or even none information at all.

TBH i'm ashamed, that as a developer, for many times i did not contribute to change it, even for my brother. there are no excuses for it, they will say, "it's not our priority", "we can do it later", "we have to achieve in time to market"... then accessiblity falls by the wayside again in every project.

It is similar here in the UK, we have the laws, everybody ignores them.

It is why I am trying to change the perspective from β€œyou must think about accessibility” to β€œthinking about accessibility benefits you”.

I am working on a series to help developers put accessibility higher up the priority list by helping them persuade their boss / clients that it is in their benefits...watch this space and we will see if it is any good! 😜

Thank you for sharing, don’t feel ashamed, as I said, most of us are just trying to get by!

Yes, there are in my draft and I worked on a new topic on accessibility too. Unfortunately, due to COVID 2nd wave impact in India, I was busy with family and friends. Started getting myself to work now.

This isn't going to work for you, I suggest you rethink your marketing strategy and speak to a marketing professional if you think this is the way to get good backlinks or get anyone to engage with you.

Glad to hear, I always feel like I need the disclaimer as sarcasm and satire don’t always come across in the written word, especially with a global readership where English might be a second or even third language!

For point 2.: Use svelte.js. You can still use a framework, but it will, being a compiler, use a lot less JavaScript or even none, depending on your implementation πŸ˜‰
