@dennisvd
Same as any site, privacy conscious people probably shouldn't share there.
Just an FYI that may cause you to reconsider joining (from a privacy and controlling your data perspective): I asked 4 weeks ago for them to delete my account, they just ignored me.
There is currently no other way to delete your account other than email them, so if you set one up it is there to stay for now.
I presume they will fix it once they have pumped their sign-up numbers up / until enough people complain but for now you have even less control of your data than on other sites (as at least you can just delete your account on most social platforms).
But Luke has found value there (and I have had a lot of positive interactions with Luke on DEV so I value their opinion) and had some positive interactions, so maybe sharing more personal stuff is the answer and if you are privacy conscious you just carefully curate what parts you choose to share.

It's crazy that you need a FB account for Oculus.
As in VR or is this another Oculus?
VR
I know it's not relevant to the article but it was just part of the discussion here :).
Never realised that, what a weird decision!
