Dear Junior Developer

Dear Junior Developer,
When starting out in tech, understand that your work or what you've built won't be perfect. Hence, when you outgrow every stage, you'd always look back and see the mistakes you made starting out.

Apparently it's not only about tech. It's about every aspect of our life. Even I feel shy thinking about my 2 year younger self's thoughts and decisions. We learn and actuate ourselves every moment.

Thank you, I love hearing things like this, especially when I start to feel down about not knowing all the nuances about a particular language or how un-optimized my code is.

Just gotta keep learning!

That's just life. I'm always looking for how to improve myself, physically, spiritually, socially, work skills etc... but remember that no one is perfect and there's always space for growing and learning 😁

I'm more worried about landing a Job. It's been 9 months since I've started looking out for jobs and companies reject me and don't tell me the reason, they also expect me to have 2 years of experience, experience I can't earn because companies reject me because of my lack of experience.

LinkedIn, or other specific websites which hire people. Like here in india their is a website named naukri.com, Indeed, Monster which shows jobs profiles for different companies.

There might be some websites for country too.

I'm already looking for jobs through LinkedIn, all I care about is the job title of the job I want (Front-end developer), I apply to all companies that have these job offers, it doesn't matter if they are large, middle, small-sized or startups.

Yup. The industry has a problem. Everyone wants senior or mid level devs. Nobody is fostering Jr devs to become mid level. There is already a shortage of developers. The problem is only going to become worse if companies don't start developing Juniors.

Hey πŸ‘‹πŸ»

It is true for a whole career, even for a whole life !
It's a continuous learning process, we will inevitably make mistakes that are beneficial for the rest of our adventures ! 🧭

But please, don't denigrate yourself because of your mistakes ! ☯πŸ’ͺ🏻

So true when you are a junior you tend to scrutinise yourself a lot because you are unsure of your capabilities. It's easy to get Imposter Syndrome.
