The filter() method is another essential array method in JavaScript. It allows you to create a new array containing elements from the original array that meet a specific condition. In other words, it filters elements based on a given criterion and returns a new array with the filtered elements.

Syntax of filter()

The syntax of the filter() method is as follows:

  • array: The array you want to filter.
  • callback: A function that is executed for each element in the array. It takes three arguments: element, index (optional), and array (optional).
  • thisArg (optional): A value to use as this when executing the callback function.

Example of Using filter()
