Letβs motivate ourselves by sharing some of our wins!
Iβll start first. In 2019 I:
- wrote around 50 blog posts (on my blog
- had over 300k views on my articles
- grew my Patreon to 10+ people - and still growing!
- went live on Twitch a couple of times
- had 1-on-1 Zoom meetings with 19 other devs (amazing people!)
You can find some more on my timeline.
What are the things you did that you are proud of? π

I've read 33 books this year! For the first time I'm on track to hit my goal of 52 books in one year π
Congratulations! This is very exciting stuff - good luck with the rest of the challenge!
I'm an IT professional and I haven't done any web programming outside of HTML & CSS in over 5 years. Today I took a big step and taught myself some new things.
Hopefully this leads to being able to create useful tools for my team at work.
I turned my clunky old first major project, Blue Alphant, into a leaner, faster, version, Azure Alphant and made the switch from creating Google Chrome extensions to more device- and browser-inclusive GitHub projects.
I've inspired and got inspiration from a colleague, and we're going to work together on some stuff outside work! This is exciting to me because I've not programmed outside of work in ages, and I've never worked with someone else on personal projects!
I've also written my second dev.to post; this one on theming your website using CSS. It makes me happy to be able to write down stuff I recently learned and used, and I'm going to try and do that more often.
This is motivating...
