when I post something, do I have to use English or my native language ?

If you want to stay connected to the mainstream dev world you definitely need to stay around English-speaking places (and Chinese soon). But the use whichever language you'd like, it depends on what you want to do.

strongly agree, as a noob I just want to follow the latest posts from mainsteam dev. but I also want to attract people from my country to join here, to study together from the best people in the dev community

To give you an example, in French Sam et Max are pretty influent but most of their sources are in English

yeah, well, I just began publishing here, and I started posting in Portuguese (I'm Brazilian) because I wanted this content to be available for Portuguese speakers that either don't know or don't want to read in English.

Not that I think it's good for a developer not to know how to read in English, I just don't want to prevent someone from reading just because they don't know the language.

I don't think this affects too much English speakers cuz it's so much easier to find anything written in English. But considering this post and some commentary here, I'm considering posting a copy of my posts in English too.

maybe I also want to follow your method, posting in Indonesian and English, but maybe in a slightly different way.
maybe by posting some things in English, some remain in Indonesian. what's more basic remains in Indonesia or I need to get more feedback from the dev community
for example, considering I'm still a beginner, I want to make a post to find out whether my solution is correct or not in the eyes of a senior developer as a correction.

You are absolutely right, there are many obstacles in my country and other third countries, if it relates to resources to learn technology properly. the dev community might be a pioneer in removing those boundaries

Thank you for answering my question, my confusion is that if I post in English maybe not many people from my country are interested in joining this dev community. I myself feel dev is very helpful for me to learn many new things, but not many people in my country do not know, even though there are some people who are still inactive.
By the way, thanks for the answer, maybe in the future I will try to post other material in English.
