Maybe because Python (and its similar) is a high-level programming language and near pseudo-code? I do not know.
It is not really that bad, but I do not consider it as an "achievement" if I master it or know anything about it.
Not only that, Python is far away from the Zen of Python (the latest version).

I consider it a wrapper to the C programming language.
Python is a great programming language and have a great Job market and that is very important for many people.
Yes, I know; it is used in data science and some others stuff; I do use it too.
