Understanding Machine Learning: Study of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence

Machine learning is the study of computer science and artificial intelligence, which focuses on data and algorithms to make unconventional tasks and algorithms easier. It’s a branch of artificial intelligence, data mining is also a related field to study in Machine Learning. Machine learning involves computers learning from data So, that they can perform certain tasks and execute all steps required to solve the problem. There’s no learning needed on computer’s hand.

Types of Machine Learning:

Supervised learning, Unsupervised Learning, and Reinforcement learning

  1. In Supervised Learning, the ML algorithm is trained on labeled data. ML algorithm is given a small training dataset, which is a smaller part of a bigger dataset and serves to give a basic idea of the problem. Supervised learning is extremely powerful if used in the right circumstances.

  2. Unsupervised learning is trained on unlabeled data. That means human labor is not needed to make data machine-readable, allowing much larger datasets to be worked upon.

  3. Reinforcement learning is a direct connection that shows how humans learn from data in their daily lives. It uses a trial and error method, in which favorable outputs are reinforced and non — favorable outputs are discouraged.
