Steps to mark your work as final:

Please follow the below steps to protect a workbook.

  • First, open the Excel and Click on the “File” tab from the “Ribbon”.

  • Here, you need to click the “Info” section from the left navigation sidebar, under that, you can see the “Protect Workbook” option.

  • Click the Protect Workbook, it will expand the drop-down list as shown below.

  • You need to select the “Mark as Final” option from the list.

  • After that, the notice will appear “This workbook will be marked as final and then saved” , here you need to click the OK button.

  • Save the workbook on your device.

  • Finally, it will make as final and display the Mark as Final icon in the Status bar and top of the worksheet as shown below.
