Limitations of Node.js

Programming interface isn't steady:

The Application Programming Interface (API) of Node can be challenging to work with. It changes regularly and doesn't remain stable.

No strong library support system:

JavaScript does not hold a strong library system. This limits the developers to implement even common programming tasks using Node.js.

Programming model is not synchronous:
Many developers find this programming model tougher in comparison to linear blocking I/O programming. In asynchronous programming, the codes become clumsier, and developers have to depend on the nested calls.

Which is better?

Node.js is a perfect framework when you want to develop a server-side web application like an online streaming platform. React.js is best suited when you want to create a project with evolving states like dynamic inputs, buttons, etc.

You can also use both the frameworks for a single project. You can develop back-end with Node.js framework and can use React.js for developing the front-end. The best example of such integration of frameworks is Netflix. Both frameworks have large and active community support. The choice between the two depends on your needs and requirements.

I wasn't going to respond to this post but now have changed my mind.

I choose neither for my web app development because both are complex, especially for a beginner and also adding libraries to the mix slows down ur website response time.

Instead I opt for Plain Javascript since it has come a long way in recent years. Fetching an AWS Lambda works fine for me and storing my JSON NoSQL data in AWS S3 works good too.

But if Node and React are required in school or in the workplace then of course we need to comply.
