Linux Development Environment for Flatiron School

I have dabbled in Linux for years and I want to use my new System76 laptop to code. Below is the workaround I have developed for the current Learn environment used by Flatiron School. This tutorial addresses setting up RVM (for Ruby Version Management), Ruby gems Nokogiri and Learn-co, NVM (for Node Version Management), SQlite, and Postgres.

You might want to include in your post why #sqlite, #node and #postgres are relevant tags, otherwise they may be removed. I don't expect moderators to check out external content to ensure it complies with tag guidelines.
