Niantic recently launched Lightship to make building augmented reality (AR) experiences more accessible, and echo3D is excited to now offer it to its +17,000 developers who already rely on the echo3D platform to create faster and lighter 3D, AR, and VR experiences. Starting today, developers will be able to leverage Niantic Lightship to create shareable immersive AR experiences while managing and changing 3D content through echo3D. Developers who are already using echo3D to create real-time 3D experiences for gaming, eCommerce, advertising, entertainment, retail, training, and more, will now be able to use Niantic Lightship to create even more engaging AR experiences with real-world depth, physics, occlusions, and semantic segmentation.

Using the Niantic Lightship and echo3D integration, developers can move 3D assets to the cloud to reduce overall app size. Team members can then manage and deliver 3D content to the Lightship app, publish real-time updates, and administer the entire platform easily with the following features:

- Reduce app size by moving 3D assets to the cloud
- Compress & convert 3D models to and from multiple formats
- Auto-generate WebAR links
