- Saturday : I got a project I'm building working in a online editor. Took a little bit but I got it working. Felt pretty good. Then it was time to do the radio show. Did it. Had a great time as normal. The recording of this week's show is at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com
Sunday : Did my study sessions and continued to work on my side project and other chores I normally do. Pretty productive day.
Professional : Today started off kind of slow but ended with getting a good amount of stuff done. A meeting was cancelled so I worked on a ticket I started last week. I made a sample application in StackBlitz so I could get up and running. I just clicked a link for a Basic example and added the new feature. I ran into a couple of issues. Now, the feature looks similar to another example, that was working so I basically compared them. Finally got it working. Tried to run the examples that were provided locally, butt they didn't work. Got an error about a dependency that I didn't use in the examples I created. Meh, got it working in the place most important for me. haha Had a meeting with my manager and we got caught up. I replied to some community questions.
Personal : The side project I got working in an online editor is a thing I'm building for community groups to stream their meetings online. I was doing it for different developer groups in Orlando (https://otech.events), but since I have been travelling, I've been missing events. This way, people can deploy their own individual applications and do it themselves. I have no illusions that everything needs to go through me or that I need to be involved in all that happens in the tech scene. haha I did a demo with the Orlando Devs and it worked! They wanted to be able to archive the meetings, so that's what I've been working on.
Going to continue working on my side project. I think I figured out a way to make archiving easy and at the same time fix some issues that could arise if I continued with the way I started. This new way will be able to build on what I had before, but introduce something that wasn't really there yet when I first made the application.
