You nailed it. I've avoided css-in-js till now, because I've seen no evident advantage. I might explore it sometime to see what it's all about, but forcing CSS/HTML people to do things in JS is indeed a whole new problem, and as someone who has been building websites for 20 years, I fail to see what problem this new problem is solving.
