What was your win this week?

Heyo 👋

Hope everybody is having a great weekend!

Looking back on this past week, what was something you were proud of accomplishing?

All wins count — big or small 🎉

Examples of 'wins' include:

  • Starting a new project
  • Fixing a tricky bug
  • Reading for pleasure 📕

A scene from Ren & Stimpy. Stimpy is trying and struggling to read a book. He keeps turning it around and around and holds it upside down while looking confused.

"Refactoring with C#" had its final draft approved last night and I got a sneak peek at an early cover, though the graphic will change.

The book publishes next month and I'll let you know when it's listed on sites.

I also started development on a course project and a book project, both on Computer Vision on Azure and both targeting a late Q1 completion.

I’m working on my GitHub universe talk, and I am somehow still able to get Hacktoberfest in. I feel inexplicably productive.

I started a Web Component project to generate Digital Business Cards github.com/skullzarmy/digital-busi... (contributions welcome)

and a generator tool to accompany it on my blog site

Not bad for a side project! 😛

For privacy and decentralisation!
Sadly enough the win was actually achieving it. They make it very difficult under certain circumstances. I encountered broken admin console pages (400), empty help pages and there is no documentation for certain steps, only several posts of frustrated users to be found. Eventually terminating certain services was only possible via CLI. I bet their account metrics are heavily inflated.
