New job!

Gave notice, started trying to write up 5 years of domain knowledge into Confluence, and working with the new company to get my equipment ordered. New company is remote first, so that fits better with my work ideals :)

Well it's more of a last week win, but I still want to share.

I've won an Egghead VSCode snippets hackathon! Second hackathon I've won this year!

Other than that, I also made a really yummy and healthy hazelnut spread with all-natural ingredients with no sugar added.

Yesterday, I just completed my first year anniversary at DEV.

I came to know about DEV last year because of Hacktoberfest. Now, When I look back at this is amazing journey I can't imagine how I was able to spend any day without it. A year back, I used to open and check my Instagram for any notifications whenever I woke up in the morning.

But now, the first thing I do when I wake up is check my DEV and GitHub. Thanks to the wonderful DEV Community fir the amazing experiences. ❀️

License npm npm

A plugin that helps you bootstrap your Vue application by performing some common configurations.

The primary goal of this plugin is to purge out all the files stored in the views/ and components/ folders that, by default, come shipped within a normal vue-cli project. It also rewrites the Home.vue and App.vue components to leave just the minimum necessary to function.

Some additional features are:

  • Support for base components: It is a good practice that you keep a handful of components that you are going to use across all your Vue application (like buttons, form fields, etc). These type of components are called Base Components and can be enabled to use globally in your project through global registering, a process that is automatically done by this plugin. In addition, this plugin creates a BaseIcon.vue file, a component that you can use to display SVG icons stored…

Hacked my ternary-swap VS Code extension to work with optional chaining, and be better with comments. Wrote my first blog in a year or so about making the extension (a 2 parter). Took Twitter and LinkedIn off of my phone. Conquered an annoying app update bug at work. Won a game of Brogue. Lots of little things make a good week (=

Coded a tricky bit of recursive (and then some!) logic into the core of an open-source project github.com/pypyr/pypyr

While maintaining backwards compatibility. AND got it to 100% test coverage. 😊

Finished a deployment script for a project that I every now and then work on.

Apart from that, I am going to work on a dashboard application that allows me to deploy my own git repo's on my servers.
