Hi Thaisa
Hi friends I'm Emiliano from Rome Italy, I'm a professional Flutter developer since first stable version (2018), I come from .NET in Desktop environment and Xamarin for old mobile approach before Flutter, and I have passion for Unreal Games Development and I collaborate with some Teams to public some games on Steam and other market, nice to join this community, have a great day!
Good to meet you, Emiliano! My name is Michael and I'm a Community Manager here at DEV.
Sounds like you got a good well-rounded list of tech that you're into! It was cool to hear that you've collaborated with some teams on games that are available on Steam. I'm curious which games you've been involved in!
Do you plan to share #gamedev posts here on DEV? Anyway, I'm following ya now, so if you do, I'll look out for them!
Thank you Michael! One of my games is Aigor, a comic Italian Game, with very weird story :-D, link: store.steampowered.com/app/1207520...
No probs! And wooaaaa. This looks so dope! You did a great job with the design and I'm liking the humor too. I remember playing point-and-clicks back in the day... this looks like it'd be a good one!
Do you see yourself doing any more game development in the future?
Yes! We come from 90βs game like Mokey Island and so on, this point and click games have inspired us, now In week end I work in new game like Overcooked but with industrial products instead food! At some point I post development images
Monkey Island is a classic!
I also remember watching my parents play Myst... I had no idea what was going on, but I just loved the visuals, haha. I wanted to live the treehouse world called Channelwood Age.
The game you're working on now sounds cool β I can totally imagine Overcooked in an industrial setting! You could reference the original Ford factory assembly line or I Love Lucy's candy factory bit. Anyway, whatever you come up with, I'm siked to see it. Please do share some of the development images and process. I'll stay tuned for it!

Good morning! I found this group/page/community after doing a quick search for keeping up on the latest, everything, surrounding developers.

Hi I'm Eric, from the Eastern US. I am a software engineer currently working in ServiceNow but my passion is front and full stack development. I am fairly new to the field and always looking for new ways to expand and show off my skills
Hi. I've been programming 40+ years and am semi-retired. Very hard to let it go completely. I do web applications with VB.Net on the backend and lots of JavaScript on the client side. I do a lot of VBScript on the PC. I still do a lot of VBA with old Microsoft Access applications, unfortunately. I also do COBOL and Java but not active with that.
I started years ago with a language called Commercial Fortran on General Automation computers doing assembler on those machines, too. Back then I had to worry about disk reads and writes. Much has changed.

Hello my name is Boris,
I am a 28 year old junior .net backend developer learning more in the field as a developer. started out as self taught and took classes.

Found this site by accident (Happy little accident)
Woohoo! Glad to hear you stumbled on DEV, Boris.

Cool to hear that you're into calisthenics. I've been trying to get fitter and have been watching a bit of calisthenic advice on YouTube. I don't really know if it falls into calisthenics, but one thing that I've started to fit into my routine is hanging on a pull-ups bar... it's been making my back and shoulders feel so much more limber.
Anywho, glad to have ya with us here. Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions about or feedback for DEV!

Hello Devs,
I'm a Buddhist monk in the US. I am trained in Buddhist Studies, AS in Psychology, and BS in Instructional Design. I know enough frontend web dev (HTML, CSS, learning JS (Vue.js/Nuxt.js), and a bit of PHP(Laravel)) to over-commit to helping temples build their website. I want to build an eLearning platform to teach Meditation and Buddhist Studies.
I need help, so I'm here.

I understand that losing access to your wallet or bitcoins can be stressful,or stolen usdt crypto from your wallet address, but I must emphasize the importance of exercising caution and seeking assistance through legitimate channels. I have seen and perused cryptocurrency scams. It reminds me of some heart ache experience when I lost 547k dollars to a fake online crypto investment scam when I invested a huge amount of money. I searched online and came across a recovery expert who I contacted via { linuxcybersecurity.com } who in a short while helped recover my scammed money, and I was pleased.
I will advise you to contact the aforementioned Website for assistance,{LCS} he is fast and reliable.

Hi, I am Herholdt. I am living in a small sea-side town called Kleinmond (meaning: small mouth referring to the estuary in our town) about 100 miles outside Cape Town in South Africa. I am involved in educational management and have to develop solutions to manage processes that can be automated. For this I use SharePoint Lists, Power Automate (old Flow) and Power Apps. I am also involved in data science as I have to take data and Analise it for presentations and meetings. My preferred tool of choice is R Studio. I would like to augment this with Phyton at a later stage.
I am a complete Novice but can help myself. Hoping to get your inputs and to connect with other people in educational management.

Hello All. Throwing out a question... is possible to group users with Web3 id's? To be more clear - if there is a organizational account and they want several employees to add info to the org profile or add information to the blockchain, is this possible to group them? Thanks in advance for any insight.
Hello. I've never posted on a dev related forum out of fear of being viewed as incompetent but the sign up process and this welcome forum pulled me out of my shell. I'm a hobbiest. I love buying brand new computers and immediately voiding my warranty by wiping windows and installing ubuntu. I'm now in charge of 8 computers for a center for the homeless so Im hoping to learn about simple networking and virtualization so I can provide our clients with a safe and consistent computer experience. the computers have been unmanaged for a couple of years so theres all kinds of sys admin issues and autofilled passwords all over the place. if anyone can point me in a particular direction to correct mismanaged systems that would be dope. Thanks everyone.

Hey Everyone, I am Konstantinos from Greece, working as an MIS/IT Manager.
After not being an active developer for over 20 years, a summer day before 1,5 years I decided to engage again and try to get myself up to speed...π₯Ή The first months were quite a pickle... But as I tell my son "As long as you don't give up, its not over!" and I don't give up easily. Now I feel that I kinda... closed most πof the gap and the road ahead seems a lot more clear and promising.

I'm Aika from Canada, it's nice to meet you all! I finally took the leap of faith I've been wanting for the past 6 years of university and am working towards to becoming a software engineer. I've dabbled in as a hobby throughout the years, but have finally recently put in the time to learn full-time. Not only am I here to further motivate myself and feed my passion, but also meet new people along the way.

Annyeong!
My name is Jin, and I am about to start my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, where I will be focusing on networks and cyber security.
A life-long tech nerd, and I am trying to learn a million different subjects all at once, but I try to narrow down and focus on Python and JavaScript mainly.
I'm Jack, from Florida. I've been developing proprietary software most of my life, outside my stint in federal prison for analogues act violation (I did a popular AMA on Reddit). I've been full-time developing and maintaining a proprietary booking system for a very large solar company in the United States for the last several years and outside of my paid jobs, I've taken on several open source projects and contributed to the development of a notable torrent tracker or two. Most recently, I put my first project on github, which is a simple script to bypass costs associated with "Go High Level" and "Zapier" platforms, which I consider both predatory.
My current daily project is the gamification of running appointments, which is currently being expanded to include doing live proposals for both roofing and solar industry. The sales reps are displayed on a map (courtesy of leaflet) with animated .gif sprites, including health which depletes as they miss the dispositioning of appointments, and gacha-like rewards for "keys" and "sapphires" which can be used to obtain other real world appointments through exchange (provided they haven't perished from poor performance!). This builds on my experience recently designing a very successful in-home appointment booking software that handles a myriad of cases and lots of teams across the United States for accurate in-home appointments, currently through territories and user-supplied availability/schedules, which I'm hoping to supplant with a more exciting and "looser" system that can still have dispatch capabilities but allows enterprising agents to get company-provided appointments in a coherent and reliable manner.
My primary languages are PHP, SQL, CSS, XML and Javascript. I also mess with jQuery, hate me for it (I don't care), and I've recently taken a liking to doing some things in Python, as well as node (with express and pm2, which is a dream). Overall, I'm an old-school programmer who doesn't utilize any frameworks in my daily life (though I've used many), and I take a purely procedural and FOP approach to programming, only begrudgingly using OOP when the FOP is inferior (like with PDO).
I plan to post some various musings here from time to time, like I just did with my recent endeavor into configuring a "free tier" VPS from a popular cloud provider. I'm not the best writer or anything, but, here I am!
Hi there, I am Pasindu Basnayake from Sri Lanka, a very small beautiful island. Through my articles, I share the experiences of my coding journey and explanations of various concepts with you. Hello from Sweden.
I am mostly here from coding-as-a-hobby perspective. I do code for a living as well, but it is getting less and less, the older I am getting.
But programming is in my blood, so I keep coding for fun :)
I like lots of programming languages, so I was happy to find a Website/Forum like this that is not only focused on a single one. And also one that is a bit more social then Github.
Anyway, I always do alot of "crazy" development projects, and am hoping to find people to discuss them with. I am also hoping to see other peoples projects, and discover new things.
Cheers
Will
