Then he had some programming lesson (on COBOL, dBase, Basic...) when he was about 12 years old, and stopped programming before he turns 14. I’ve been learning web development for over five months, and I’ve been building projects by mindlessly copying code from YouTube and other platforms. Yes, I am in a deep deep tutorial hell, I realized that this was not helping me become a better coder. I needed to challenge myself and create something on my own. So my goal now is to create a basic admin dashboard on my own before the end of this year (of course I will have to use Google a lot but I will try my best to do it on my own). I will try my best to share all my progress as often as possible so that I can keep myself accountable and motivated.

My interests are mainly in the computer science and algorithms areas, but I have been writing code almost daily since the 80s. I'll start with the oldies: Fortran, Pascal, Modula-2, Forth, BASIC, Lisp/Scheme and assembly (Z80, 6502, 680xx, x86, and some lesser-known asms). Then moved on to C, C++, (SWI-)Prolog, Haskell, Java, Lua, Python, PHP, Javascript and some other. Why bother? Well, there is no best PL, just old and new where the new mix some ideas of the old. All PL expose different interfaces to the programmer to make them more or less attractive and effective to use for a given production project or for a fun creation. Stuff that keeps me busy.
