I'm excited to announce a new DEV theme... "Ten X Hacker". It's the only theme you'll use if you are a ninja rockstar magician. It features the iconic green on black text which signifies elite programming skillz.
π You can change your interface config in /settings/misc.
This is one of three changes to user config. The second change is the ability to set monospace font for the main body of DEV posts. I felt like this was a necessary complement to the ten x theme. I personally use sans serif, but you do you.
The third change...
You can now set your navbar to "static" (as opposed to the default of fixed). A lot of folks prefer a navbar which does not stay put at the top of the window. The fixed navbar is great for quick navigation and access to the menu, but some find it distracting while reading. There is no right or wrong in this preference debate, so we are now offering both configurations.
Here is the PR, for your curiosity...
Add new font and theme config, plus new navbar config option

Description
This PR adds a couple fun, but admittedly useless, config options.
It also adds one not-so-useless option: The ability to configure the navbar to be static instead of fixed. A lot of people have strongly held feelings about this and I think it's a nice thing to offer through configuration.
Future config options for the navbar could be an option where it slides up when you scroll down and down when you scroll up.
π You can change your interface config in /settings/misc.

Excited to step up my "look cool in a coffee shop" laptop game.

Now you don't have to open hackertyper.net and type frantically in it to look cool in the coffeeshop!

It's cool and looking so realistic which can be showoff to known person. As same we can use others Blue Screen of Death Prank to make a leave on office.
Be careful though...
Oh! I didn't know you could change dev.to interface settings! Coool!
Nice, now a suggestion: add a random theme. On each reload we should get one different. Not completely useful but I'd use it π
Omg
Ben this is going too far, shut down the internet right now π
staaahhhp
The new theme makes me really happy β not because of the theme, but because of the joy I like to think it brought you while you were coding it. Goofy smiles all the way.
Yessssssssss thanks dev team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are a bunch of themes for dev on userstyles.org, have you seen them?
I don't know any fo the languages used for this but I find it really neat to see the PR associated to the news! I know what I'm looking at, and even if I don't have the comprehension level of the contributor(s) I can understand the big picture.
Personally, I like the night theme better, but the monospace font is absolutely better then the other choices, IMHO.
He He! π
