Alright alright! I originally thought about making this week's focus avant-garde or perhaps ambient, but I didn't wan...

I frequently go back to Brian Eno's 1978 album “Ambient 1: Music For Airports"... it's so nice. It really helps me focus and stay relaxed while doing work.
And if you like ambient or generative music, I have a few YouTube musicians I'd recommend:
Hainbach
OoraMusic
State Azure
Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz:
And here's another version from a group that attempted to even follow the crazy performance directions (it looks like they've blocked embeds on this one so you'll need to follow to youtube):
Woooooaaaaaaaa! 🤯
This is the wildest thing I've heard in a while and viewing the video on YouTube was totally worth it! The performance directions make it. 😂
This link has images of the sheet music for this, as well as a couple other crazy pieces by the same author:

I wouldn’t necessarily called this artist weird, but it’s definitely unusual and I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon this track.

Love as described in the Atharva Veda 6.8 A few people have been asking about this translation that is from RL Kashyap There is a sense that it is the light...
Oooo it is unusual — super peaceful and very cool. I love it when the harmonies come in; it's powerful but keeps its peaceful feeling. Thanks for sharing this one, Valeria!
Ever heard of outsider music?
A weirdness I like is when I listen to a song in a language I barely or don't understand, and still by the power of music and the energy of the artist, it makes a connection with me
I laughed so much with this japanese song about the dilemna of leaving your Futon in winter in a japanese home without central heating.
And I fell in love with Esperanto around 2006 partly because I didn't expect to hear something like "Chu vi pretas, chu vi pretas por la veno de Dolchamar?".
And then I asked what the lyrics meant and that was hilarious
I'm back with another one! The wonderfully weird Animal Collective.
Songs:
Recently started getting into some serious synthwave/chillwave revival stuff. Any form of electronic music is good for coding and keeping the focus. I love Boards of Canada, Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk. I recently found Space Cassette by way of the synthwave scene, their work is just so damn chill.
Oooo heck yeah! I fell into a very similar musical space over COVID. I love the synthwave/chillwave genres and the bands that you mention are on point! However, I had never heard Space Cassette — I love this!
If you want something a bit more poppy with singing, I recommend checking out The Midnight... their album Monsters really had its hooks in me a couple years ago and I still frequently pop it on.
I also love Irving Force... it's quite a bit darker, heavier, but still very synthy. Street Mech is a good tune to show ya what it's all about.
But yeah, listening to all this synthwave sorta stuff actually resulted in me buying a modular synthesizer called a Moog Grandmother and other bits of equipment like a drum machine... it's a lotta fun making that sorta music.
Baby Metal - The Other One. Yup, the whole album
Holy crap! This rocks. 🎸
What?!?! Oh wild... I'm going to have to look into that. Hopefully he'll bring the tour close enough to NC for me to go experience it. Thanks for the heads up on this, Jordan! 🙌
Oh dang! Those are some limited dates... now I just need to convince my wife, haha!
I'm revisiting DragonForce recently, some of their new music has some retro metal vibes and then I found this song. Maybe a little bit fit to the topic.
and actually this 'Strangers' song is a banger
