I have been in front of a computer display since I can remember, so love terminals. I enjoy developing Backend, specially with scripting languages like Python (Django) or Ruby (Rails).
Using enumerate or range is definitely way more pythonic, however, in this example, I will agree with the author that s more understandable for people coming from other languages.
