Depending on your role, Tapjoy gives out some flavor of MacBook.

As a member of the engineering org, I have a MacBook Pro 2019 with an i7 core and 32GB of RAM (a recent replacement for my MacBook Pro 2015 I was given when I joined in 2016).

My previous workplace gave us Lenovo Thinkpads (can't remember what flavor) and we developed on a mixture of native Windows + Linux VMs.

As for preferences, I've preferred using MacOS over Linux and Windows for my job: it works with my tools a lot better "out of the box" than my experience with Linux and Windows.

I prefer Linux for personal use (though I don't actually have a personal computer) precisely because it doesn't work as often and I get the pleasure of diving down a shiny new rabbit hole ๐Ÿ˜„

That said: aside from the keyboard on this new MacBook Pro 2019, which I consider to be superior to the one on the 2015 version it replaced, I would much rather have the 2015 version back.

I don't need the additional specs: the heaviest app I use is Chrome, and I solved the resource problem long ago with a memory management extension.

And I loathe this touchbar thing; mostly because I've never liked touch screens (I need to feel what I'm doing with my hands) but also specifically because I tend to over reach the number row and accidentally touch something on it ๐Ÿคช

And the butts of my thumbs are constantly gliding over the extra-wide trackpad as I type, which causes things to randomly focus or lose focus depending on if the weight of my thumb was enough to cause a click. ๐Ÿ˜‘

It's funny because I've given various Linux distros a shot and always end up on the Native OS for my current machine because of the configuration rabbit holes. Do love me some Linux Mint, though. :P
