Nice post, unrelated question, as a software engineer working at CERN do you 'fiddle' with some physics stuff in you job (does your work cross into the borders of physics sometimes)? Just want to know, I've always admired CERN and their staff. πŸ˜ƒ

Hello Dan,

Thank you for your comment! Yes I personally did have to learn the very fundamentals of Particle Physics when I first got at CERN, but it's not the case for every Software Engineer over there. It depends on the project you're working on. As I personally work on the LHCb experiment, I had to learn some Physics to understand the purpose and the function of that particular experiment to be able to properly do my work as a Research Software Engineer there. Again It's not the case for everyone!

Have a good day! πŸ™‚
