About Journal Media

TheJournal.ie is our flagship publication and has become the main digital source of news in Ireland. We reach over 430,000 readers across the country every day. We believe that we best serve the needs of our readers by marrying a world class development team with our talented editorial team of 40+ journalists. As a result, we’ve fast become a daily habit for the people of Ireland.

A focus on innovative tech solutions generates exciting projects for our development team and our developers are given wide scope for creativity and innovation.

About The Job

The development team is responsible for all aspects of our mobile applications and site infrastructure, from getting the latest news into the hands of our readers, to providing our editorial teams with the best tools to break the big stories.

Areas of work include:

  • Storytelling: Our journalists are always experimenting with new ways of telling stories. The dev team works closely with our editors to build a pipeline of new features that will delight our readers.
