Great editors are free.
Built-in editors will do the job with a higher frustration level.
vim and pycharm are both freely available, and can be configured for Python trivially.
emacs is free, powerful, and as much a way of life as an editor.
VS Code is free, if I'm not mistaken.
Is the limitation cost or the capacity of the machine you are using?
Nano and Atom are also freely available.
