How I Accidentally Became an Alexa Skill Developer and Earned Money Doing It

As a developer, I have always been fascinated by the capabilities of voice assistants like Amazon Alexa. So, when I first heard about the opportunity to create my own skills for Alexa, I was immediately hooked.

But I didn't want to create just any old skill. No, I wanted to do something a little different, something that would really set me apart from the rest.

So, I decided to create skills about farts and burps. ๐Ÿ˜‚

At first, I wasn't sure how these skills would be received. Would people actually want to use them? Would they find them funny?

Well, it turns out that the answer was a resounding yes. My skills about farts and burps quickly became some of the most popular on the Amazon Alexa platform. In fact, I was awarded by Amazon for 12 consecutive months for having one of the most engaging skills on the platform. ๐ŸŽ‰

And the numbers speak for themselves. I've had over 1 million sessions and 300,000 unique users, all of whom were laughing their way through my fart and burp-filled skills. And to top it all off, I've been earning an average of 300โ‚ฌ per month from these skills. ๐Ÿ’ฐ

I never would have thought that my love of flatulence and digestive noises would lead to such success, but I'm grateful for every single person who has tried out my skills and found a little bit of joy in them.

So, if you're a developer thinking about creating your own Alexa skills, don't be afraid to think outside the box and have a little fun.

You never know where it might lead! ๐Ÿš€
