I had the privilege of meeting the esteemed Padma Shri Awardee, Dr. V.S. Natarajan, to delve into his remarkable contributions in the field of Geriatrics and his selfless service to humanity as a whole. It was an enlightening experience to gain insights from such a distinguished individual.
Dr. V.S. Natarajan runs a foundation Geriatric Foundation, which is the culmination of 4 decades of his hands on work, who is regarded as Father of Geriatrics in India, in the field of care giving to the elders of our community. Dr. V.S. Natarajan Geriatric Foundation which works in both Geriatrics and Gerontology involves itself in extensive research in the Ageing and the Aged domains.
With the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day coming up on 15th June, he is spearheading an initiative to take awareness pledge with school children in TamilNadu. I have enclosed doctor's requisition letter to government
