Leaving my job as an aerospace engineer to become a software developer. I was doing software development anyway in my previous job but had major imposter syndrome, so it felt like a big risk.
Simarly, Leaving my "good" Mechanical Engineering job to pursue game development which led me to general development and my current career!
Trying to explain to my immigrant parents (immigrated to the U.S from Jamaica) that I was quitting my Engineering job to make games was an..... "interesting" conversation. 😅
