What music have you been coding to this week?

Let's hear your favourite tunes to crank out some code? This week I have been listening to Keys N Krates - Original Classic Spotify ...

Woot! Nice to see somebody else who is curious about what music others' are listening to. 🙌

I have a weekly series called Music Monday that ya might enjoy tuning into!

The latest one was centered on funk:

All this said, I don't mean to just use your post to promote my own. 😅

As for something that I've been listening to recently, I really dig D'Angelo's Voodoo album. Here's a good one from it called The Line:

Serious question because I see the #productivity tag:
Does listening to music while coding make you more productive? In my case, I appreciate listening to music when I develop because I like music and it's nice to do 2 things you like at the same time. But this is also a source of distraction (unless this helps to cover some noise).

Do you think it's just because I haven't found the right type of music? I'm always switching between tracks, or just stop to listen a good one...
I'm open to suggestions.

For me it depends on the type music as well as what I am working on. If I am working on fairly low thought problems then I can listen to anything, but if I need to be vert focused and think about my design then I find that a lot of music distracts me and I often go without. I find music that is new to me is more distracting, where stuff I have heard a lot before can go to the background more. Also, music without lyrics works well, I use the lofi playlists a lot when I don't want lyrics: open.spotify.com/playlist/0vvXsWCC...

I like straight rave music so yes, it is indeed a distraction if I listen to it while working

I have listen like 42 times this concerto from Rachmaninov interpreted by Krystian Zimerman, describing powerfully and accurately the wonderful explosion of emotions that Rachmaninov and Wimerman and me have felt after we have been isolated and hurt and hopeless for months and years, at the crucial moment when hope comes back.

An incredible piece of art about mental health.

Hello, this week I have been coding to Mavi's new album, Laughing So Hard It Hurts. I believe that it is a beautiful album, depending on how you listen to the album, it can be about anything, from love to death. Overall, it is a beautiful album that I recommend to everyone.

When I need deep focus, I like to go to free code camp's coderadio: coderadio.freecodecamp.org/

Alot of great instrumentals and ambient tones to get you through the day.
