Along with the non-profit Make A Diff we are a part of, Jess and I are helping to put on a really wonderful security workshop this weekend. The event will be this Saturday, January 28 at the Microsoft office in New York City. This will be an incredibly educational day, but as a bonus, all proceeds will be donated to the EFF.

You will get the opportunity to take part in four different hour-long workshops throughout the day. We will be covering topics including encryption, online privacy, security for developers, pgp/identity, securing your email, and password managers.
I will be helping to coordinate the developer security workshop, which is being lead by the awesomely experienced Stephen Kapp. I'm really excited to fill in some knowledge gaps this Saturday.
Tickets are going fast and early-bird pricing ends later today. (10 hours from the time I am writing this)
