Hello everyone.
My name is Amir from Bek Brace YT channel, and as a fellow coding enthusiast, I understand the importance of having the perfect theme to make your coding experience more enjoyable. After all, we spend a lot of time staring at our code, so it's essential to have a visually pleasing environment. In this post, I'll be sharing my top 10 favorite themes for Visual Studio Code and giving you my personal thoughts on each one - that's also summarized in the following video if you want to watch
Let's start with Atom Dark One. This theme is sleek and stylish, with a black background and green accents that give it a futuristic feel. If you're a fan of science fiction, this theme might be right up your alley. However, I find the green accents a bit too intense, and they can be distracting after a while.
Next up is Night Owl. This theme is perfect for those of us who code into the wee hours of the morning (guilty as charged). The dark blue background with light yellow and orange highlights is easy on the eyes, making it a great choice for extended coding sessions. However, I personally find the color scheme a bit too intense and prefer something a little more muted.
Now, let's talk about Jellyfish. This theme is my personal favorite, and for a good reason. With its beautiful blend of blues and pinks, it feels like you're coding in an underwater paradise. Plus, it's easy on the eyes, so you can code for hours without straining your vision.
Firefly Pro is another theme that I adore. It features a dark background with beautiful turquoise and green highlights that make your code pop. The overall effect is very calming, which is perfect for keeping you focused and productive.
On the other hand, Midnight Synth didn't quite make the cut for me. The purple and blue color scheme is a little too overwhelming, and I found it hard to read my code without feeling like I was in a neon nightclub.
If you're looking for a classic, you can't go wrong with Cobalt2. It's been around for a while, and for good reason. The blue and yellow color scheme is easy on the eyes, and it gives your code a clean and professional look.
Dracula is another classic theme that many people swear by. With its dark background and bright pink and purple accents, it's a bold and eye-catching choice. However, I find the bright colors a bit too distracting and prefer something a little more subdued.
Solarized Dark is a popular theme that features a unique blend of blues, greens, and yellows. The result is a soothing and calming color scheme that's easy on the eyes. Plus, it's great for reducing eye strain if you spend a lot of time coding.
Material Palenight is another popular theme that's perfect for those who love clean and modern design. With its black background and soft purple highlights, it's a subtle and sophisticated choice.
Finally, we have Noctis, another one of my personal favorites. It features a beautiful blend of purples and blues, and the overall effect is very calming and serene. Plus, it's easy on the eyes, so you can code for hours without feeling fatigued.
In conclusion, choosing the right theme for Visual Studio Code is a matter of personal preference. Whether you prefer something bold and bright or something calm and subdued, there's a theme out there for everyone. Personally, I'll be sticking with Jellyfish, Firefly Pro, and Noctis [especially Noctis Obscurus] for now, but who knows what new and exciting themes will come out in the future.
Happy coding!
