I'll review your LinkedIn profile for free

Do you think LinkedIn is lame and therefore ignore it?

Well, perhaps it is πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ But guess what: it doesn't matter.

LinkedIn can be life-changing (if you know how to use it).

I have a pretty dope LinkedIn profile (~1,600 followers) that does quite a few things for me:

βœ… I get multiple recruiter messages daily (not crappy jobs at agencies, actual decent job vacancies at well funded London-based product companies). If I was looking for a job right now, I wouldn't have to apply cold and could just reach out to my network of recruiters at top tech companies.
βœ… I get invitations to speak at events.
βœ… I get offered collaborations with other bloggers and NGOs.
βœ… I'm building a personal brand and a strong professional network and making myself more resilient in a recession.

So I want to try something.

I want to do FREE reviews of YOUR LinkedIn profiles during a LinkedIn Live and share my tips on how you can improve your profile and get more jobs and more opportunities.

This is for (Aspiring) Software Engineers ONLY. Career changers are very welcome to apply ❀️

DM me on LinkedIn or leave a comment here if you are interested.

I'd like to start with 5 profiles, first come, first served. Let's do this.

Great initiative and good luck with that.

I think mine is pretty terrible but I have quite a few followers simply because I'm old and know lots of people.

Thanks! I don't think you have a terrible profile at all :) I will add your profile to my list.

Thanks, but it doesn't come close to represent my experience of working with over 100 companies as a consultant. I was just too lazy to go through it all. It doesn't include most of my experience as an author and course creation. It doesn't really cover much.

I was just a bit lazy and now I don't remember half the stuff I did...

By the way, will you be ok if I review your LinkedIn profile on a live stream that will be recorded? I was initially thinking about doing LinkedIn Live but maybe doing a Youtube live will make more sense, not sure yet (maybe I can do both (?)). But in any case, it will be a live event that will be recorded and saved on my YT channel: youtube.com/c/beetlehope

Sure. I don't have a problem with the recording/live. Feel free.

I didn't think you could follow anyone on LinkedIn. What does that even mean?

On LinkedIn you can either "connect" with someone or simply "follow" them, similar to following someone on Twitter. The difference is usually that you connect with someone you know and follow someone you won't, like a creator or blogger.
