AWS has let everyone know they are going to be charging $0.005 USD per hour per IP for every IPv4 address starting in February 2024, whether the address is in-use or not (currently if the address is in-use, it's free). The best solution, as suggested in that blog post, would be to move the whole world to IPv6, but we've been trying to do that for way too long and it hasn't happened yet.
Anybody have other workarounds to minimize cost for those of us running a small site tied to our own domain? Thanks.
