We started our product around 8 years ago before Ember 1.0 landed. Right now we're in the process of upgrading to Ember 4.0. In general the upgrade process is very smooth, definitely one of Ember's strengths. A weakness would be the many 3th party addons that are abandoned, as a result of Ember not being one of the popular frameworks. We learned to not depend on 3th party addons too much. For example, we switched validation addon multiple times, until we decided to just write our own code.
