My Introduction to Web Development: Semantic HTML

Hello DEV Community!

I am new to the web development community as a whole I am writing this blog post for my first assignment as a student of UCF's full stack boot camp.

Today I discovered a blog post about something called Semantic HTML. While I do not understand how to read or write HTML, I understand it's uses and I believe that I understand the difference between HTML code and Semantic HTML code. My understanding is that Semantic HTML is essentially HTML code that is labeled according to the content. A webpage that has a header entered as

normally would therefore be entered as . This seems more intuitive to me, because when reading someone else's code you can decipher the content's intent.

Can't wait to start my journey into the world of coding!
