There has been some criticism of AWS certifications, with some suggesting that they are not worthwhile. However, I respectfully disagree with this perspective.
In my opinion, any type of learning is beneficial. Consider the following statistic: there are now more than one million active AWS certifications, a figure that has increased by 29% in the past year alone. This suggests that certifications are indeed valuable and in demand.
If someone is going to make a strong claim about AWS certifications, they should be prepared to back it up with data. Here's the data I have found, more than 650,000 individuals hold associate, professional, or specialty AWS certifications. What do you think about this numbers?
These certifications don't guarantee you a job offer, but they do provide a solid foundation of knowledge and can help you stand out to potential employers.

Today many companies are using AWS services, and an AWS certification demonstrates that you have obtain the skills and knowledge to work with these services effectively. However, keep in mind that real work experience is also necessary to become an expert using this technology.

This. Honestly I think people try and put too much weight on certifications on both sides of the spectrum. Either people are fully die hard thinking they are the golden ticket or people think they are useless. The answer I think lies more in this quote, its something the can help you stand out. As I am applying for jobs right I have gotten several remarks about my AWS certifications , and although they are not carrying me to employment they show that I have technical knowledge and work ethic. In interviews I'm a CS graduate with cloud training, instead of just a CS student.
To add to your list of resources, two in particular helped me in earning my AWS associate and AWS ML specialty certification.
