Hacktoberfest, DigitalOcean’s annual event that encourages people to contribute to open source throughout October, officially ended a week ago. It's always fascinating to contribute to open source. And Hacktoberfest perfectly sets the stage for it.

It was a joy to take part in this event, which gave me a wealth of knowledge. It was like a roller coaster ride of inclusion and exclusion.

It's just the beginning; there is a long way to go. Most importantly, I learned to be patient in order to read and understand the codes of others.
