***How to Improve at anything***

I am playing online chess games back to back and i am loosing all of them. I stopped after loosing around 100 points and started to think 'Why am i loosing now and why i am not improving beyond a point'. The answer to that question is a blog which found me.

Dr Gregg Steinberg is a performance psychologist and in his blog, he is advocating for 'sticking to the basics' and how it helped successful people like Thomas Friedman and Tony Gwynn. This reminded me of an interview with AB de Villiers, a cricketing legend and we was backing the importance of reminding oneself the basics as you will forget it when you get into the complexities of game.

I Tried it. I refreshed all basics and played couple of rapids. This time i was more aware and ended up winning three and losing two. Not a great result but now i started to see lot of connections. This time I moved every piece with an intent and now i can see the mistakes more clearly.

So what can Coders learn from this--- Never forget the basics.
