There are days when you are in public and you are wondering:

Apple products

It is eminent that the relationship between programmers and Apple products cannot be overemphasized. For most programmers, it is the best programming equipment money can buy, while for others, it is all about the brand.

Sweatpants

Programmers tend to dress somewhat more casual than the average person. They are most likely to wind up dressing in a way that makes them feel comfortable yet look presentable. Sweatpants and a respectable shirt and they are good to go.

Hoody

Just like sweatpants, hoodies are much more comfortable to code in than in jeans or a suit (especially on the couch).

Laptop bag.

If you got a sleek system you sure need a sleek laptop bag. This is a very important item for every programmer.

Sneaker

Generally programmers like looking smart and on the go. What better way to achieve that than with a pair of nice sneakers?.

Smart watch

Programmers tend to be fascinated by smartwatches because they are like the smaller version of your smartphone, except it is on your wrist allowing programmers to get in on the fun.

Headphone

Programmers are easily distracted and so they always enjoy their space. Headphones are a perfect way to escape the crowd and eliminate some distractions, especially with noise-cancelling headphones.

Owns a cat

Cats are considered introverts in comparison to other animals, they are very independent animals with individualistic mindsets. Since programmers prefer to stay at home a lot, they would rather have a cat as pets because they are more compatible with a cat's lifestyle.

Swags

Who has more swags than a programmer?. A programmer is most likely to have numerous customized gift items from tech companies as appreciation.

Glasses

This completes the nerdy looks and it is so common among programmers because they spend most of the time looking at the screen. By wearing anti-glare glasses, they are protecting the eyes by reducing the amount of glare that reflects off of your lenses.

I've never before heard anyone say that programmers prefer Apple, much less that they preferred Apple because of the brand. I'd say in my experience it is the exact opposite, you can tell a programmer because they scoff at your overpriced, underpowered, Brand Name product.
