I don't have any experience with a Master's Degree, but I would say a strong foundation and just having experience goes a long way.
You could get dedicated experience via class work in a Master's program, side projects, or finding a strong mentor at your day job to expand from what you know.
IMO, a Master's degree alone doesn't tell me you can do the job, it's just another line item on a resume.
