Gaming Mathematics: Degree is not the only way to measure angles!

We are very familiar with degrees so I won't explain it here.

Degree is not the only unit of measurement for the angles.

The other way to measure angles is called Radians (rad or c).

If you look at the image below, you can see that if the radius of the circle is equal to the arc length which is technically called "Arc subtrends theta", then that particular angle is 1 radian.

As we know circumference of a circle is 2πr. This makes conversion from degree to radian possible the following way:

2π radians = 360 degrees

This interprets,

full angle of a circle (in rad) = full angle of a circle (in degrees)

Why might this interest you?
Well "degrees" are man made and "radians" are natural. In physics and engineering calculations, radians is highly used as it simplifies things but when it comes to human understanding degrees is more preferred like when it comes to geography and architecture degrees is much more preferred.
