What is mongoose?

Mongoose is a cross-platform embedded web server and networking library.
The small footprint of the software enables any
Internet-connected device to function as a web server.

Mongoose is a MongoDB ODM (the NoSQL equivalent of an ORM) for Node. It provides you with a simple validation and query API to help you interact with your MongoDB database.
