Because as I see it you have a blog section on your homepage and if you wouldn't want recruiters to see your writing don't put the link on your site. Make your articles unlisted, only people with the link can see your blog page.
Instead of big images, I recommend you showcase your products. Because assuming if someone wants to open your site they would be interested in you or your work. Don't make them click any more buttons to showcase your best work. Showcase your best work on your homepage (not all of your work).
Otherwise, the hamburger button page is already good. You can showcase your entire portfolio on separate pages if you want.
