How to stay healthy while sitting all day?

Hello everyone, what are some ways you all stay active and fit despite sitting down in front of a computer all day?

it perhaps can make a difference if we work out 3 times a week (cycling, yoga, hiit workout ...etc)?

I personally don't think standing or sitting make that much of a difference to personal health - workout sessions will make the difference ;)

You're totally right. Setting aside time for physical activity can be a game-changer!

I try to use my standing desk as much as possible during the week. And ideally working out would be a bigger part of my life at the moment

A standing desk sounds like a REALLY good idea.

I got an electrical standing desk a while back because of covid and everything. It's very handy though I did end up needing to get standing mats to help with the long hours I'd be on my feet

Humans weren’t engineered to be good at sitting in front of a computer all day and good at moving heavy things and jogging distances. Unfortunately you have to pick the balance you’re comfortable with.

If nothing else is possible an under desk cycling trainer and some sturdy rubber tubing with handles attached to your desk chair will give you the ability to work muscles while reading documentation.

Honestly though if you’re still young you’re probably better off giving up an hour of sleep to go to a gym every day.

hey,
you can set goals, for example- every 1 hour of sitting, you should take a 15mins break. have a glass of water, take a walk or do some yoga.
