Learn Accessibility

Hi Everyone,

I'm learning accessibility as I go by reading some articles.
But I very much wanting to go deep into it.

Does anyone know some other resources to learn accessibility?
Like courses, or anything else?
Or people who I could follow for their accessibility knowledge and/or contents?
Thank you in advance! ๐Ÿ˜Š

My must read recommendation for web developers: developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/L...

Inclusive design principles, explained: inclusivedesignprinciples.org/

Reference for specific web accessibility issues based on WCAG standards: webaim.org/articles/

Color contrast tools: webaim.org/resources/contrastchecker/ learnui.design/tools/accessible-co...

One I've been meaning to go through, but might be dense: w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/wc...

A game: focus.hteumeuleu.com/

Another must: try to navigate your favorite sites using only your keyboard. Then try navigating them with a screen reader.

Accessibility means making sure that your website can be used by as many people as possible.

The first step should always be to make sure that your website works correctly in all major browsers (including Safari).

If you're looking for a quick way to set up cross-browser automated tests, have a look at Endtest.

Definitely follow @SaraSoueidan on Twitter. She also has a course coming out soon (practical-accessibility.today/) and a newsletter you can subscribe to.
