🏝 Desert island apps

I’m sure you have probably heard of desert island discs, where you pick 5 discs (records/albums) you would want to have with you stuck on a desert island for the rest of your days.

What about with apps/websites?

Let’s assume you’ve got WiFi, a device of your choice and power and for some reason none of these enable you to get home (humanity has banished you? πŸ˜‚).

I’d probably take...

  • Twitter
  • Messenger
  • A code editor
  • YouTube

Hmm... and if my desert island has a postal address then Amazon as well. πŸ˜…

Web browsers and app stores are cheating! πŸ‘€

Interesting question!

I think I'd take:

  • Amazon to buy many many books
  • Vim is versatile enough to be a code editor for all languages
  • Google or is that cheating too? xD
  • YouTube for entertainment
  • Github for storing code

(In case Google is cheating, I'd probably take StackExchange)

Being on a desert island would allow me to spend all my time writing my operating system. That'd be nice, although I think I'd miss the human interaction. :P

I will take GitLab with me. I could spend my days coding, non-stop
