How to install google chrome in ubuntu using apt-get?

Here is how one can install google chrome in ubuntu:

  1. In the folder /etc/apt/sources.list.d create a file called google.list
  2. Add the following line in the file and save it.
sh -c 'echo "deb [arch=amd64] http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google.list'
# Run the following commands:
wget -q -O - https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add -
apt-get update && apt-get install google-chrome-stable
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

To install microsoft edge follow https://www.microsoftedgeinsider.com/en-us/download?platform=linux-deb
