What I was thinking of is maybe be it's worth focusing on topic-specific surveys like StateOfFrontendFrameworks, because technologies within a particular topic have many commonalities and it would be nice to dive into it and see the results.
Speaking of UI Frameworks, questions might be around what people like in their framework, what they miss, what are the pain points. The results of such surveys could also be very valuable to frameworks authors.
